Sous Chef

Position Purpose

Reporting directly to the Head Chef, the Sous Chef is responsible for all areas of La Santa Rosa food operations and daily management including profit, stock, wastage control, hygiene practices and training. Guide and direct the kitchen brigade to ensure consistency of standards and a high level of performance and presentation.

Qualifications :

• Experience in a similar role as a Sous Chef or Chef de Partie.
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques, health and safety standards, and kitchen equipment operation.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage kitchen staff.
• An eye for detail and presentation.
• Culinary degree or certificate is preferred.
• Willingness to work long hours, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
